David Holton

David Holton

For the past 4 years, I have participated in the Michael J Fox Tour de Fox Wine Country ride to help find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

Due to COVID-19, The Michael J. Fox Foundation has canceled all in-person Tour de Fox Cycling Series events in 2020.

Just because the ride is cancelled this year, we are not putting the brakes on our progress. We are shifting gears and going virtual!

On Saturday, August 29th, Virtual Tour de Fox communities everywhere will unite to pedal toward our common goal: A cure for Parkinson’s disease.

My goal is to ride a 42 mile round-trip course along the scenic American river from Sacramento to the historic town of Old Folsom, CA

A few facts about PD:

• Five million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s Disease – a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder

• As many as one million Americans live with Parkinson's disease, which is more than the combined number of people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and Lou Gehrig's disease

• In the United States, 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone

• There is currently no known cure for Parkinson’s Disease

How can you help?

Sign up and donate today.

With support from family and friends, my goal is to raise $3000 that will go towards research in developing advanced medications, treatments, and ultimately, finding a cure for PD – in our lifetime!

Your donation means that you also care about finding a cure for PD. No matter how big or small, your donation means that someday, PD will no longer be a crippling disease.

How to donate?
Click the "Donate" button on this page. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Michael J. Fox Foundation's research programs.

THANK YOU! Thank you for your hope, your support and generosity!
