Thank you for visiting my page! This year, I am participating in the Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) Tour de Fox Cycling Series for Parkinson's Research.

If you know my dad, you may know he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020 after experiencing misdiagnosed tremors in his arm for a few years. After trying many drugs and even more doc appts, he's gotten to a place where he's "comfortable" - which I think is a stretch. He's found a drug with minimal enough side effects that taking the drug is worth it, and unfortunately it only minimally helps the tremors. Things like cold weather and sitting still to enjoy a meal or conversation trigger the tremors, and needless to say these are impacting his daily life in a big way. Much like my dad I'm not comfortable sitting still with the thought that this disease has no cure. In true Schildgen fashion I'm going to ride 100 miles to support the cause and hope to raise money for more research along the way. Please consider donating or riding today. ❤

An estimated six million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) — a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. As the world’s largest nonprofit funder of PD research, MJFF is working to change this.
MJFF is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.

Your gift will make a real difference: 100 percent of Tour de Fox virtual ride proceeds will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research programs.
