New Epic Hip!
Bret Parker
Bret Parker
As you may know, after I finished the Boston and New York City Marathons in October/November 2021, my hip decided to stop cooperating so on April 1 got a new one! (If only curing Parkinson's were as easy as hip replacement surgery.) I'm ready to get back on the road and do my part --- at the end of August I'll be cycling from Sag Harbor to Montauk and back (approximately 56 miles). Now I need you to do your part and consider donating to the Michael J. Fox Foundation! I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 15 years ago and the clock is ticking - and the symptoms are gradually increasing -- so I need a cure pretty soon.
For those of you have given in the past and support me each year, or anyone donating for the first time, thanks so much! Together, we've raised over $800,000 and I'm not stopping doing epic shit!!
An estimated six million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) — a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. As the world’s largest nonprofit funder of PD research, MJFF is working to change this.
MJFF is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
Your gift will make a real difference: 100 percent of Tour de Fox virtual ride proceeds will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research programs.
Help me move a cure for Parkinson's disease forward by making a donation today.
Thank you for your support!
Much love and gratitude,
Bret
