Thank you for visiting my page! This year, I am participating in the Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) Tour de Fox Cycling Series for Parkinson's Research. This year will include a virtual ride on August 29, 2020. I am going to ride 35 miles on my Peloton.
In early 2019 my best friend and mom was diagnosed with PD. For a few years prior she had exhibited PD symptoms, mainly showing as a tremor. Although this was initially difficult news to face, my mom has continued to live her life to the fullest, including participation in a local boxing group and support group. I have chosen to do this ride to celebrate her and other PD warriors who take on Parkinson’s each and every day and not let it hold them back.
An estimated six million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) — a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. As the world’s largest nonprofit funder of PD research, MJFF is working to change this.
MJFF is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
Your gift will make a real difference: 100 percent of Tour de Fox Pacific Northwest ride proceeds will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research programs.
Help me move a cure for Parkinson's disease forward by making a donation today.
Thank you for your support! - Kylie
