Thanks for visiting the Len's Friends website for the 2021 edition of the Tour de Fox Ride we will be staging August 28th. (see below)
We're raising money to help find a cure for Parkinson's disease, at a time when most of the world is concerned about the COVID-19 virus.
Often, I know, the current news about the virus pandemic isn't good. But I remain optimistic we'll put it behind us- as much as we can-before too long.
Because though it's a terrible, tragic, struggle, while we are hurting we are learning.
And one of the most valuable things we have learned thus far is the power of working together.
I just recently got my virus vaccine, and still marvel at how(relatively) fast that all came together.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation, where our donations go, works to get companies to work with their competitors, to drive research faster.
By sharing some information in the Parkinson's Disease Research Tools Consortium, everyone benefits..
It's one of the reasons I am keen on the MJFF.
And why I hope you will back me.
Together we can climb any hill.......let's go.....

Thank you for visiting my web page.
Welcome to the home of Len's Friends-the 2021 effort by Len Grant-with much help from his friends-to ride the Tour de Fox in North Saanich, BC, Canada.
On August 28, we will hop on our bikes and ride 40 kilometers around the northern tip of the beautiful Saanich Peninsula on Vancouver Island to raise money to help find a cure for Parkinson's Disease.
It's a disease I know very well. I was diagnosed with PD 12 years ago and every day I feel it rob me of a little more energy, and make it a little harder to do the normal things-to walk, to talk, to think.
But I am fighting back !
This will be my fifth hike or bike under the Tour de Fox banner in support of the Michael J Fox Foundation, an organization driven-to find a cure for this affliction. And I believe it will. It's raising money efficiently, and then quickly directing it into the research programs most likely to yield results. It's responsible for new drugs on the market to help manage Parkinson's symptoms, and a whole host of initiatives aimed directly at a cure.
But we're not there yet. We need your help.
Thank you for considering a donation...a donation with no deductions !
100 percent of the proceeds of every Tour de Fox virtual ride will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research program.
Thank you for your support
