Thank you for visiting my page!
Several years ago my father, Jerry Scarborough, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. He is a very proud and strong man, and for the most part, fought this on his own. Dad has and will always be my mentor and hero and anything I can do to help support him and my amazing mom, Marilyn, I will. This is just a small step, but one that brings awareness and much needed research into this medical issue. I encourage all that can to attend the event and join me on the ride. If not, anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
Dad is doing well, fights every day and most importantly always lives in the moment. I hope to see you on October 5 in Georgia and if not, thank you for all your help and well wishes.
I will keep you posted on the ride and Dad’s progress.
This year, I am participating in the Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) Tour de Fox Cycling Series for Parkinson's Research.
An estimated six million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) — a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. As the world’s largest nonprofit funder of PD research, MJFF is working to change this.
MJFF is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
Your gift will make a real difference: 100 percent of Tour de Fox Atlanta ride proceeds will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research programs.
Help me move a cure for Parkinson's disease forward by making a donation today.
Thank you for your support! - Matthew
