Virtual Tour de Fox FAQs
What does a “virtual” Tour de Fox event look like?
On Saturday, August 28, Tour de Fox communities will ride together, but at various times and in different locations. Cyclists will create their own route and ride at the time that works best for them. We suggest mapping out and driving your route beforehand if possible, especially if you’re choosing roads you are unfamiliar with. Others will participate from home, getting their miles in on a stationary bike.
Fundraising opportunities remain the same: 100 percent of registration fees and fundraised dollars go directly to the Foundation's high-impact programs to speed new and improved therapies and end Parkinson's for good.
What will I receive if I register for the virtual Tour de Fox?
All registered participants will receive a Tour de Fox ride packet via mail. The packet will include a rider number and materials from our sponsors. Shipments will begin in early August and cyclists must register by August 9 to receive their packet before August 28.
In addition, we encourage all participants to fundraise. If you raise $250 USD or more you will receive an official 2021 Tour de Fox cycling hat and those who raise $500 USD or more will receive an official 2021 Tour de Fox cycling jersey (in addition to the ride packet) - see pictures below!

Make sure to take pictures in your Tour de Fox swag and share on social media using #Tourdefox.
Is there a recognition program for the virtual event?
Yes! The top five individual and team fundraisers will be recognized on our website and receive awards after the event. If you’re curious how you match up, you can track the top fundraisers at the bottom of the Tour de Fox landing page, which is updated in real time.
I am not a cyclist, but still want to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation. What can I do?
We appreciate your support! You can still donate to the Tour de Fox Series by visiting tourdefox.org/donate and electing to support the virtual ride, an individual fundraiser or team. As always, 100 percent of all funds raised go to critical research to help speed a cure for Parkinson's disease. For other ways to get involved, please visit our website at michaeljfox.org.
