  1. Will my Tour de Fox event be rescheduled for a later date? 

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is continuously monitoring the evolving situation surrounding coronavirus COVID-19. We are currently working to find new dates for events that have been postponed and will do everything that we can to reschedule this year. Once a date is finalized, all registered participants will be notified by email and event webpages will be updated.
 

  1. I am already registered for an event and started fundraising. What should I do? 

Once a new date is finalized, all registered participants will be notified, and all registration fees and fundraising totals will be transferred to the rescheduled event. Stay tuned! 
 

  1. I am not registered for an event, but still want to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation. What can I do?
    We appreciate your support! You can still donate to the Tour de Fox Series by visiting tourdefox.org/donate and electing to support the Series, an individual fundraiser or team. As always, 100 percent of all funds raised are going to critical research to help speed a cure for Parkinson's disease. For other ways to get involved, please visit our website at michaeljfox.org.
     

  1. What if I am registered for an event and unable to attend the postponed date?
    If you can't make it to the new event date, consider completing your ride distance with family and friends whenever and wherever you choose! Whether you choose to complete the ride on your own or not, 100 percent of your registration fees and fundraised dollars will still go directly to the Foundation's high-impact programs to speed new and improved therapies and end Parkinson's for good. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to the Foundation over these past few months and hope to see you at a future event. 


  1. Can I still fundraise? 

Yes! Your fundraising page is still live to fundraise and make donations. Once a postponement date is finalized, all fundraising totals will transfer to the new event date. You will be notified as soon as we have more information. 
 

  1. My Tour de Fox event is scheduled for later this year. Will it still take place?
    Like organizations worldwide, we have currently postponed all public events through the end of May. Public health resources and status updates surrounding COVID-19 are rapidly changing, often day by day. We will continue to monitor information and guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and state health departments and will make decisions as we get closer to event dates.   1. I am a Team Captain and my event has been postponed. What should I tell my team members? 
    Below is a sample email that you can share with your team members. You can also adapt the message for donors who have already supported you to keep them informed (and thank them again for their support!)


Hello Team, 

 Thank you for your hard work and passion toward the Tour de Fox event! As you know, The Michael J. Fox Foundation has been closely monitoring the evolving situation surrounding coronavirus COVID-19 and have postponed all public events through the end of May, including [enter your event name here].
 
The MJFF team is working to reschedule for a date to be determined later this year. Please know that your hard work is still making a difference, as 100 percent of all funds we have raised as a team are going directly to high-impact programs to ultimately find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. I hope you'll still be able to join our team on the newly scheduled date so we can continue to help in the fight to end Parkinson's!
